The Relief Lifeboat, "Good Shepherd" took part in the annual Bembridge Lifeboat Regatta on Sunday the 23^rd August 1998 along with the Bembridge Inshore Lifeboat "Criddy and Tom" and the Coastguard Air-Sea Rescue Helicopter. The August weather had been good to us until Regatta day came. However a good crowd turned out, despite the rain, and saw a fine display of Air-sea rescue techniques.

The overhaul of the RNLI's fleet of "Tyne" class lifeboats is nearly completed and the Bembridge lifeboat "Max Aitken III" is now back on station. Welcome home!
