| Bembridge Lifeboat 1998 |
The Relief Lifeboat "Good Shepherd" left Bembridge for another station on Wednesday 25th August 1998 but before she left she gave one more service, on Tuesday evening she went to the assistance of a motor cruiser in distress just south of the Isle of Wight. The "Max Aitken III" wasn't back on station long (Almost exactly 3 hours!!) before she was sent to search for a diver missing in the Solent. She carried out the search along with Portsmouth Lifeboat , Gosport Rescue, The Coastguard Rescue Helicopter "India Juliet" and other rescue craft from the Portsmouth area.
